Matchups to Look Forward To

Here are some matchups I am most looking forward to once the season starts.

April 16-17 vs Kansas City Royals

Kansas City Royals right fielder Jeff Francoeur (21)

This early 2 game series will be the Braves’ first experience with the new year-round Interleague play.  They will go up against former Brave Jeff Francoeur.

April 26-28 at Detroit Tigers

Miguel Cabrera, Justin Verlander, Prince Fielder

The Braves have the opportunity to play against the defending American League champions, which include the past 2 American League MVPs in Justin Verlander and Orlando Cabrera.

May 9-12, at San Fransisco Giants

The Braves’ first of 2 chances to go up against the defending World Series Champions, who are looking to establish a new dynasty.

May 27-30 at/vs Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto-Marlins11

This is a strange 4 game series where the first 2 games will be played in Toronto and the last 2 in Atlanta.  The Blue Jays have completely changed their team by picking up some pieces from the Marlins.  On slightly related note, this is also a rematch of the 1992 World Series.

June 28-30 vs Arizona Diamondbacks

MLB: Atlanta Braves at Miami Marlins

The first chance for these trading partners to play against each other.  It will be Martin Prado’s first series in Atlanta as an opponent.

July 26-28 vs St. Louis Cardinals
